Fatal Accident Alert

Los Angeles, CA (August 2, 2024) – A deadly motorcycle accident on the 405 Fwy near Nordhoff St in the North Hills neighborhood occurred early Friday morning. The crash, reported shortly after 2 a.m., involved at least one other vehicle. The California Highway Patrol confirmed one fatality but has not identified the victim. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Authorities issued a Sigalert, closing all northbound lanes of the 405 Fwy for approximately four hours. Caltrans crews eventually reopened the freeway after completing their investigation. Further details will be provided as the inquiry into the cause of the incident progresses.
