Combat Achievement Update: new Reward System

The main difference with the new update is that Combat Achievements are now point-based meaning the rewards are easier to unlock.

Every combat task you complete will give you a certain amount of points based on the difficulty of the task. Since your point total is no longer tier-based, you can mix ‘n match points from different tiers to unlock rewards!

This Quality of Life update was successfully polled and makes unlocking Combat Achievements more bearable since you don’t need to be able to knock out every single task in a specific tier to unlock rewards.

Previous Reward System

Previously, you needed to complete EACH task within a tier of the Combat Achievement Diary to unlock the rewards. Since each tier has a lot of tasks, this was basically dead content.

Now that it’s been revised, it is much easier to gain the rewards.

New reward system

Now that it’s been revised, it is much easier to gain the rewards. Instead of needing to unlock every task within the tier, you now receive points for each taste. Every couple of points, you unlock a new tier!

Here’s how many points you need:

P.S. 33 points is not a lot to unlock the easy tier which gives you pretty good rewards already so be sure to check out your log and see whether or not you qualify!

Where can I check combat achievements?

You can check your Combat Achievement in your Character Summary interface which shares a menu with Quests and Achievement Diaries.

Where to get your combat achievement rewards

You can receive your combat achievement rewards by speaking with Ghommal outside the warriors guild in Burthorpe.

To get here, use a Combat Bracelet teleport or Games Necklace teleport.

Ghommal’s Hilt

The main reward from the Combat Achievements is Ghommal’s Hilt which can teleport you to the entrance of the Godwars Dungeon, just before the boulder. This is slightly better than using the Trollheim teleport.

There are 6 versions of Ghommals Hilt, based on each tier of the Combat Achievement Diary:

Ghommals Hilt 1 (Easy tier): 3 daily teleports to GWD
Ghommals Hilt 2 (Medium tier): 5 daily teleports to GWD
- Prayer Drain at Barrows is negated when the hilt is equipped
Ghommals Hilt 3 (Hard tier): unlimited teleports to GWD
Ghommals Hilt 4 (Elite tier): Three daily teleports to Mor Ul Rek
Ghommals Hilt 5 (Master tier): Five daily teleports to Mor Ul Rek
- Can be combined with Avernic Defender
Ghommals Hilt 6 (Grandmaster tier): Unlimited teleports to Mor Ul Rek

Combat Achievement Diaries make Pest Control a lot easier as you unlock extra Commendation points for each tier! Get your full void set even faster!

Easy Tier: 1 extra Commendation Points per game at Pest Control

EXP Lamps

The Combat Diaries also give experience lamp rewards:

Hard Tier: Imbues at NMZ and Soul Wars are 50% cheaper

Dwarf Cannon Benefits

Your Dwarf Cannon can take more cannonballs with these Combat Diary Tiers:

Medium Tier: Dwarf cannon can hold up to 35 Cannonballs
Hard Tier: Dwarf cannon can hold up to 45 Cannonballs
Elite Tier: Dwarf cannon can hold up to 60 Cannonballs

GWD Benefits

The Combat Diaries also come with massive benefits to hardcore PVMers who have unlocked the Hard Tier and above.

Hard Tier:
- Ecumenical key drop rate reduced to 1/55
- Only 35 KC required to enter boss room
- Private instance for 150K GP
Elite Tier:
- Ecumenical key drop rate reduced to 1/50
- Only 30 KC required to enter boss room
- Private instance for 125K GP
Master Tier:
- Ecumenical key drop rate reduced to 1/45
- Only 25 KC required to enter boss room
- Private instance for 100K GP
Grandmaster Tier:
- Ecumenical key drop rate reduced to 1/40
- Only 15 KC required to enter boss room
- Private instance for 75K GP

Easy Combat Achievement Rewards

The Easy Tier is unlocked at 33 Reward Points

These are the rewards from completing all the Easy Combat Achievements:

Ghommal’s hilt 1 which teleports you to Trollheim 3 times per day
5K Experience lamp in a skill above 20
The drop chance of Easy Clue Scrols increases by 5%
The maximum quantity assigned from the Like A Boss slayer reward is increased by 5
1 Additional Commendation Point for each successful Pest Control game

NOTE: With the May 3rd QOL update, you no longer need to complete each task within a combat achievement tier to unlock the reward.
